Joss Whedon chapter

Writing

After years working in academia as a dance scholar and ballroom and tap teacher, I relaunched my career in freelance writing and entertainment journalism (including video journalism), personal essay, and content management when I moved to Los Angeles in 2012. I’ve published works in many publications, including Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Magazine, LA Weekly, New York Observer, Hello Giggles, The Billfold, Reel Life With Jane, Moviefone, Mashable, and Playboy. I’ve also written for academic publications such as the Journal for the Society for American Music (JSAM), the Society for American Music Bulletin, the Brown Reference Group Encyclopedia (TK FULL TITLE), and the New Grove Dictionary for American Music.
